Bus Services Operating From Bedok Temporary Interchange wef 19 Nov 2011

The Bedok Bus Interchange will be shifting to a temporary location to facilitate the development of a new integrated bus interchange on its existing site. This temporary bus interchange, which is located along Bedok North Drive, beside the existing bus interchange, will be opening on Saturday, 19 November 2011.All 27 bus services – 7, 9, 14, 16, 17, 18, 25, 26, 30, 30e, 32, 33, 35, 38, 40, 60, 66, 69, 87, 168, 196, 197, 222, 225 (G and W), 228, 229, 401 – operating at the existing interchange will operate from the temporary interchange.The routes of these services will not be affected with the relocation. They will continue to call at all the bus stops on their regular routes. However, enhancement will be made to Services 9 and 35. They will now call at the bus stop in front of Bedok MRT Station (bus stop code 84039) along New Upper Changi Road on their return journeys to the Bedok interchange. Currently, it only calls at the bus stop outside the station (bus stop code 84031) on its forward journey from the interchange.

The route of Service 18 which plies between Tampines and Bedok will also be amended to serve Bedok North Road and Bedok North Avenue 2. With this change, it will call at the following four bus stops:

Bedok North Road

Fengshan Primary School (bus stop code 84349)

Bedok North Avenue 2

Opposite Block 416 (bus stop code 84331)
Block 416 (bus stop code 84339)

Bedok North Road

Opposite Fengshan Primary School (bus stop code 84341)

It will, however, skip five bus stops along Bedok North Street 1 and Bedok North Avenue 3:

Bedok North Avenue 3

Block 109 (bus stop code 84529)
Between Blocks 139/140 (bus stop code 84219)

Bedok North Street 1

Bedok Central Post Office (bus stop code 84351)
Opposite Bedok Central Post Office (bus stop code 84359)

Bedok North Avenue 3

Block 403 (bus stop code 84211)

Residents living along Bedok North Street 1 and Bedok North Avenue 3 can continue to take any of the following six services – 14, 66, 69, 168, 222, 228 – to get to the Bedok Interchange.

Posters of these route amendments will be put up at the new and existing Bedok bus interchanges and at affected bus stops along their routes.

With the opening of the new Bedok Temporary Interchange, additional staff will be deployed on the first few days to assist passengers.
